The LOC recently met with representatives from Vision Ability UK. The company was founded and is run by Visually Impaired people, for Visually Impaired people. Their work includes:
- Visiting schools to spread awareness about living with and overcoming disabilities, combat bullying, and help prevent avoidable blindness by promoting regular eye testing – please here for further information.
- Information and Support for filling out application forms for Support and Benefits, including, but not limited to Personal Independence Payments (PIP), Employment Support Allowance (ESA), Universal Credit, Freedom Pass
- IT support and training
- Travel Confidence
- Scholarships
